Direct answer
Can kitchen degreasing paste be used directly on non-stick cookware, aluminium pans and glass cooktops?
“Paste” describes a physical form; it does not automatically reveal particle size, pH, solvent system or the frictional effect on a coating. The CDC’s household-cleaning guidance is to choose a product suitable for the specific surface and follow its label. That is more reliable than treating every “degreasing” product as universal. Kitchen equipment also involves food-contact areas, heat sources and electrical construction, so a product name is only a starting point for checking instructions, not a substitute for material and appliance guidance.
Non-stick surfaces in particular should not be judged by feel. Nordic Ware’s official instructions for one non-stick cast-aluminium item require handwashing with warm water and explicitly advise against metal utensils, scouring pads and abrasive cleaners. That instruction applies only to the specified product and should not be copied as a universal rule for every non-stick pan. Its transferable method is to find the care limits for the exact brand and model before deciding whether a paste and wiping tool may be used.
Aluminium pans are not one uniform surface either. Bare aluminium, anodised aluminium, painted aluminium and aluminium with a non-stick coating can have different tolerances, even when they look similar. If the manual permits only a neutral detergent and soft sponge, heavy grease is not a reason to substitute an unknown paste, extend contact time or increase friction. Those actions can change the surface without establishing compatibility for that item.
Glass-ceramic cooktops have their own cleaning path. Whirlpool recommends allowing the cooktop to cool completely, softening soil with water and using a non-abrasive soft sponge; tougher soil should be treated only with a non-abrasive cooktop cleaner accepted by its instructions, and coarse particles or harsh ingredients may damage the surface. GE Appliances likewise instructs users to follow the approved method for the specific model and remove cleaning residue before heating. Recommendations for tools such as scrapers may also differ by model.
EPHYON’s current published record for Kitchen Degreasing Paste confirms a 200 g tube and a paste format, but the public claims field is empty and there is no universal material list that can replace the physical label. This article therefore cannot infer from the product name that it is suitable for every non-stick pan, aluminium pan or glass cooktop. Use should be based jointly on the current label in hand, confirmation from product support where needed, and the equipment manufacturer’s instructions.
For an OEM/ODM project, material boundaries should enter the brief at the sampling stage. EPHYON’s published process covers requirements, proposals, sample confirmation, production, inspection and delivery. For a paste cleaner, an editorially recommended project record would additionally cover target surfaces, soil type, coating coupons, application amount, contact time, wiping tool, residue removal and dispensing stability. These are items to be validated, not a claim that the current product has already completed those tests.
If a sensitive surface has already been treated and shows dulling, discoloration, scratches, tackiness or an unusual odour, stop rubbing and adding product immediately. Do not layer on another chemical as a remedy. Remove residue according to the equipment instructions and product label and ventilate the area; for an electrical appliance, disconnect power and confirm that it is cool. Contact the equipment manufacturer or qualified service provider if coating changes appear irreversible or the instructions are unclear.
The decision sequence can be reduced to four steps: identify the material and coating; read the equipment manual; check the cleaner label; and only when both sources clearly permit use, test a small inconspicuous area after cooling and disconnecting power where applicable. This article gives a conservative cross-brand boundary and does not replace the physical product label, model-specific instructions or professional judgement for food-contact surfaces.
