Can kitchen degreasing paste be used directly on non-stick cookware, aluminium pans and glass cooktops?

There is no universal answer. “Paste” describes the product format; it does not prove that the formula is non-abrasive or compatible with every kitchen surface. First check whether the current product label explicitly names the target material and gives the amount, contact time and removal method, then check the cookware or cooktop manual. If either source is unclear, do not use it on sensitive surfaces such as non-stick coatings, polished or coated aluminium, or glass-ceramic cooktops. If both permit it, allow the surface to cool, disconnect power where relevant, test as directed in an inconspicuous area, use non-abrasive tools and remove all residue.

Aluminium cookware may be bare, anodised, painted or non-stick coated, so appearance alone is not enough. Identify the exact finish first. If testing is allowed, use a small amount on a cool hidden area with a soft cloth and remove all residue promptly.

For glass or glass-ceramic cooktops, switch off the appliance and wait until it is fully cool. Follow the model-specific instructions for cleaner and tools, avoid coarse particles and hard implements, and remove residue before reheating.

For pan interiors, chopping boards and other food-contact surfaces, residue removal needs extra care. Use the product only when both the utensil and cleaner instructions allow it. Rinse or wipe thoroughly as directed and confirm that no visible residue or unusual odour remains before food contact. Keep paste and water out of appliance seams and vents.

Use a four-step check: identify the cookware or cooktop brand, model and material; read its cleaning restrictions; review the directions and cautions on the EPHYON Kitchen Grease Paste pack; and only when the two sets of instructions do not conflict, test a small amount briefly on a cool hidden area. Use a soft cloth or an approved tool rather than longer contact and harder rubbing.

If a test causes dullness, discolouration, scratches, tackiness or unusual odour, stop immediately. Do not add more product or mix in another cleaner. Remove residue as directed, ventilate, and contact the appliance or cookware brand if the finish has changed. Do not layer acids, alkalis, bleach or other products as a remedy.
