Direct answer

Should I distribute EPHYON products or create my own brand through OEM?

Start with whose brand you intend to sell. To distribute EPHYON’s established range, submit a regional or channel application describing your intended territory, sales channels and business. To sell your own brand, prepare trademark information, a product brief and target markets for an OEM discussion. For further formulation development or brand positioning, discuss ODM or brand-development services. Distribution applications are reviewed, and manufacturing proceeds after samples and project conditions are agreed.

Start with whose brand you intend to sell. To operate EPHYON’s established product range, begin with a regional or channel distribution discussion. To put your own brand on the packaging, prepare a brand and product brief before discussing private-label manufacturing. Both routes can be discussed with EPHYON, but they start differently: the former focuses on territory, channels and existing products; the latter also needs specific product, brand and manufacturing requirements.

If you already have stores, an online shop or wholesale channels and want an established range, first describe your sales territory, channel types, current partner brands and experience. EPHYON’s distribution application asks for this information so a business manager can review it and continue the discussion. Territory, product mix, supply and channel arrangements should be agreed after both sides understand the situation; submitting an application is not the same as receiving agency authorization.

If you want to develop your own brand over the longer term, organize the product brief first. Category, size, sales markets, estimated quantities and packaging direction are basic inputs to an EPHYON OEM discussion. For customers with an established formulation, technical specification or product plan, OEM focuses on production adaptation, filling, packaging and delivery. Formulation development or changes in fragrance or format can be discussed through ODM. Choose the service according to the work actually needed.

Prepare trademark information early as well. EPHYON’s private-label cooperation information calls for a valid trademark registration certificate or application acceptance notice before production, together with the relevant qualification filing. Check the intended brand, rights holder and commissioning relationship. Questions about authorization chains or target markets should be resolved before finalizing packaging. Providing project documents does not replace verification of brand rights.

Beyond the brand name, consider who will buy the products. Product mix, packaging information and channel arrangements for different audiences often need to be considered together. EPHYON’s brand-development service connects positioning, product architecture, packaging, content and channel launch. If you have only a brand concept, explain the target audience, sales channels and budget direction first, then define the products step by step; finding a bottle is not the only possible starting point.

Product identification is easy to overlook in own-brand planning. GS1 explains that the brand owner holding the trade-item specifications is normally responsible for assigning GTINs, whether manufacturing in-house or outsourcing. Retailers may also commission their own-brand products. A GS1 Company Prefix assigned to one company cannot simply be passed to another. New-brand projects should clarify coding responsibilities early; distributing an existing product does not permit moving someone else’s code onto own-brand packaging. Specific exceptions follow the applicable rules.

After choosing contract manufacturing, samples and packaging still need to be confirmed in stages. EPHYON’s OEM process includes sample approval before bulk production, with production following agreement on sealed samples, packaging files, materials and scheduling. Minimum quantities, costs and lead times depend on formulation, size, packaging materials and production-line conditions. Knowing only that the product is laundry liquid or a kitchen cleaner is not enough to define a complete production order.

Both routes require attention to product quality and labelling. China’s Product Quality Law sets out separate quality responsibilities for producers and sellers, requires truthful product identification, and calls for information and warnings appropriate to the product. Businesses should check quality and documentation according to their role, rather than assuming that finding a manufacturer or signing a contract removes their own responsibilities.

When contacting EPHYON, explain the direction in one sentence: “I want to sell existing EPHYON products in this territory and channel,” or “I have my own brand and want to develop this product category.” The first starts with distribution; the second starts with brand and product requirements. A clear business objective makes subsequent product selection, sampling, quotations and cooperation terms easier to settle individually.
