EPHYON’s current product system lists Silk & Cashmere Detergent as published, with a net content of 408 g and a liquid format. This article is presented as a product introduction rather than a new-product launch: public records confirm its on-site status and an update on 5 August 2026, but do not establish that it first entered the market within the past 30 days.
The first step in specialised fabric care is not pouring detergent; it is reading the garment label. ISO 3758:2023 establishes a system of graphic care symbols covering washing, bleaching, drying, ironing and professional care. The symbols communicate treatment boundaries intended to avoid irreversible damage. Two garments labelled “silk” or “cashmere” may still differ in construction, dyeing, trims and acceptable care methods.
A “specialised detergent” therefore cannot replace the decision on whether a garment may be washed in water. Woolmark’s public care guidance likewise starts with the garment care instructions: machine washing is appropriate only when the label permits it and the corresponding cycle is used; knitted wool items are generally dried flat away from direct heat, while tumble-drying still depends on the label. That guidance addresses wool care and should not be applied automatically to every silk item.
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Care Labeling Rule offers another evidence perspective: care instructions and warnings require a reasonable basis and must account for the complete garment and its components. This is a U.S. regulatory example, not a compliance conclusion for China. Its practical lesson is that fibre name is only one field—lining, decoration, buttons, dyeing and mixed construction may all change the care boundary for the complete item.
In practice, begin by sorting by colour, fabric type and care instructions. The American Cleaning Institute’s general laundry guidance uses the same sequence. For silk or wool garments whose labels allow washing, then check the current EPHYON product label in hand for dosage, hand- or machine-washing directions, soaking time, rinsing and drying guidance. Do not extend use when the garment says “professional dry clean only” or when the product label does not cover the target material.
This edition does not use fields from the product-information spreadsheet concerning ingredients, implementation standards, shelf life, antibacterial percentages, pH or specific efficacy. That spreadsheet provides candidate leads only; the current public product-page claims field is empty, and the complete label and valid test records corresponding to the on-sale batch are not yet available. The public article retains only the cross-checked on-site status, name, 408 g content and liquid format.
For an OEM/ODM project, silk-and-wool care is not simply a new product name. EPHYON’s published process covers requirements discussion, solution development, sample confirmation, production, inspection and delivery. For specialised fabrics, the project brief should also define target fibres and garment construction, care labels, washing method, target market, pack dosage instructions and validation plan. This describes what should be validated; it does not claim that the current product has completed compatibility testing on every fabric.
The product’s role in EPHYON’s brand-information network is to add the nodes “specialised fabric washing + liquid format + detailed care”, not to rank it against general laundry detergents without testing under the same conditions. Selection still depends on the garment care label and the physical product label in hand. For high-value, mixed-material or poorly labelled garments, consult the clothing brand or a professional-care provider first.
